On 12 July 2019, within the Employment Shuttle implemented by Association Rural Development for Future Georgia (RDFG) under the scope of the EU ENPARD Programme, project participants visited Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA). During the visit, GITA representative held a presentation about the 3D printing technology, also, about the opportunities GITA offers youth with innovation ideas. Furthermore, the project participants had an opportunity to have an excursion around the area during which the Tech Park representative presented various innovation projects implemented by the groups of young people.

Within the presentation about 3D printing, the project participants got acquainted with the technology and the digital program needed for 3D printing. Moreover, within the training, they have also seen the presentation about the concrete 3D printed item examples, including 3D printed Qvevrvi. In addition, within the excursion around the area, the participants of the Employment Shuttle visited Tech Park’s working rooms where they have seen the real 3D printer, the so-called clever sewing machine and various 3D printed items such as small statues, different species of animals, cars, etc.

2After the excursion, the representative of the Agriculture and Rural Development Agency (ARDA) conducted a lecture about agro-projects in general and presented concrete projects planned and implemented within the ARDA activities.

The EU-funded project “Rural Development for Sustainable Growth in the Tetritskaro Municipality” is implemented by EU partner organization, RDFG. The project aims to improve the quality of life in the Tetritskaro municipality through the introduction of innovative social-economic models and engagement of local private and public sectors in the decision making. RDFG is partnering with the Agro-Technology Association and the Lithuanian Local Action Groups Network to carry out the action.
